The feeling of nervous excitement you get at the top of a big line is a feeling that our newest #KodiakAthelte, Sam Cohen, has chased his entire life. His parents got him out on a pair of skis when he was just two years old, and he has lived for the sport ever since. For Sam, being a professional skier and mountaineer isn’t just about skiing steep lines and deep snow; it’s also about earning your turns through some good ‘ole fashioned Type 1 fun — “Being out in the mountains and suffering a bit is something I enjoy.” If there’s anything Sam has learned throughout his journey of skiing endless powder or spending weeks camping on a glacier, it’s to “stay true to yourself and stick to your guns.”
