1. Do you offer any gluten-free products?  

Yes, we do! We have a delicious Gluten-Free Frontier Flapjack and Baking Mix. Since we’ve released it, our customers have been saying it’s the best gluten-free pancake mix they have ever tried. 2. Are your products GMO-free?

All Kodiak Cakes products are completely non-GMO. Sourcing non-GMO ingredients isn’t always easy and it does cost us more, but it’s something we believe in and are fully committed to. Farming with genetically-modified crops is a risky experiment with our food supply, and it’s difficult to reverse many of the negative consequences that GMOs have introduced into our nation’s eco-system and farming industrial complex. The GMO farming approach is inconsistent with our Kodiak philosophy of responsible farming methods, high quality ingredients, and a balanced ecosystem that respects and works with nature as an ally, not an adversary.

3. Are your products Kosher?

Yes, they are! All of our products are certified kosher by Kehilla Kosher. The certification is marked on each product at the bottom just under the nutrition facts (it’s a tiny half circle with a “k” in it).

5. Do I need to refrigerate any products after opening them?

Yes, we recommend refrigerating the flapjack and waffle box mixes once they are opened to preserve freshness. You’re probably not used to refrigerating a box mix, but most other box mixes aren’t made with freshly-ground whole grains like ours. Refrigerating freshly-ground whole grains is a great way to preserve their rich flavor and nutrition. Once opened, we advise that they are best to consume until their sell-by date. We also recommend refrigerating your Kodiak Syrup once the bottle has been opened. An unopened bottle has a shelf life of two years. Once opened, we advise keeping it for no more than 3 months.

7. Where can I find Kodiak Cakes syrup?

We’re excited to announce our Super Fruit Syrups are now available through our website! They are also occasionally available at Costcos in some regions. If you’d like to see our syrups at your local Costco, you can write a suggestion slip requesting Kodiak Cakes Syrup at your local club location. We are always working to improve the availability of our syrups, so stay tuned for information as they become available in more stores.

8. Where can I find your products?

9. Do you offer coupons or promotional offers?

10. What’s with the bear costume?

We love that bear costume. We can’t get enough of it! We rented it several years ago from a Hollywood costume company because we thought it would be fun to have for an industry trade show we were attending. Once we saw it we never wanted to give it back. So we’ve been renting it ever since! We use it whenever we get a chance—YouTube videos, funny pictures, press events, and news segments. At Kodiak Cakes, we love doing things to make each other laugh and try make work as much fun as possible. The fact that we can’t seem to give up this costume really embodies that philosophy.

12. How do I get my grocery store to carry Kodiak Cakes?

If your local grocery store doesn’t carry Kodiak Cakes, chances are they can make a special order for you, you just have to ask! Please be aware that some stores require that you buy an entire case (6 boxes). To get them to carry Kodiak Cakes on a regular basis can be a little trickier. We frequently reach out to grocery store buyers asking them to carry our products, and we could really use your help convincing them to give us a try!

14. How did you decide on the mix to water ratio for your products?

We suggest starting with a ratio of 1 cup of mix to 1 cup of water, which is a simple way to measure and usually leads to a delicious result. But since some folks prefer thinner or thicker flapjacks, and since the mix sometimes settles more densely, the 1-to-1 ratio of mix to water is simply a guide. Feel free to experiment by adding more water or more mix depending on your ideal consistency.

15. Does Kodiak Cakes sponsor any events?

Yes! We evaluate sponsorship requests on a case by case basis. While we do not currently offer any monetary or paid sponsorships, we are always open to considering new opportunities that come our way. We offer select samples for events, but we do not currently offer samples for individuals because our products are found in so many stores and online.

Unfortunately, at this time we only ship our products only within the United States due to customs regulations and shipping costs.
