There's no shortage of brownie recipes at Kodiak Cakes, but these peppermint fudge brownies are a must this holiday season. Our moist, fudgy, Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix is already a crowd favorite but with some added Christmas spirit they become the perfect dessert for holiday potlucks, dinners, or late-night treats. Bake a batch and who knows, maybe next year Santa will request to swap the milk and cookies out for these.

Ingredients

Brownies:
  • 1 box Kodiak Cakes Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
Icing:
  • 1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-5 tablespoon milk or heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup crushed peppermint candies

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F and grease a 9”x 9” pan
  2. Combine Kodiak Cakes Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix, eggs, butter, oil, water, and peppermint extract in a mixing bowl and hand stir until blended
  3. Pour into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist. Let cool
  4. In a medium bowl, stir powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla extract until smooth
  5. Spread the glaze evenly over the brownies and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies
