Ingredients

  • 6 Kodiak Cakes Homestyle Frozen Waffles
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup cheese, shredded, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup cheese, shredded, plus extra for garnish
  • 1.5 lb. bag frozen chicken tenders, cooked according to directions and cut into 1” cubes
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oven to 400 F
  2. Grease a 9×9” casserole dish or cast iron pan.
  3. Toast waffles on the lowest setting until crispy and hot. Cut the waffles into 1” cubes.
  4. Mix the eggs, milk, hot sauce, cheese, honey, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Layer the chicken and waffles in the pan.
  6. Pour in the liquid mixture. Let the casserole sit for 30 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle the extra shredded cheese over the top of the casserole.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove foil during the last 2-3 minutes until cheese is browned.
  9. Garnish with green onions before serving.
