Ingredients
- 2 cups Kodiak Buttermilk Power Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup butter, cold, cubed
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and diced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup water
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the Kodiak mix, baking powder, and garlic powder a mixing bowl. Whisk together.
- Add cold butter cubes to the dry ingredients and cut in with a pastry cutter or your fingers until the butter resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the jalapeño and cheddar cheese and toss through the mixture to distribute evenly.
- Add the water and stir in to form a thick batter. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Spoon the batter onto the prepared baking sheet in 1/4 cup increments, mounding in a circular shape. A scoop also works well. Space biscuits at least 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Cool slightly before serving. Store in an airtight container.
