HOW TO MAKE A MUG CAKE

No pan? No problem. When you’re in a rush it’s easy to think there’s no time to make breakfast. However, at Kodiak Cakes, we believe there is always time for breakfast, which is why we have chosen to reveal one of our greatest secrets: you can easily create a personal-sized mug cake with just a microwave. That’s right…all you need is a coffee mug and your favorite Kodiak Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix to get started! This fluffy, delicious, and healthy breakfast is ready to go in just a matter of minutes and is easy to customize, top, and enjoy. Here’s how to make a mug cake with Kodiak Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix:

MUG CAKE STEPS

  • Step One: Pour ½ cup Kodiak Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix into coffee mug.
  • Step Two: Pour ¼ cup cold water (or milk for an extra two grams of protein) into coffee mug.
  • Step Three: Stir until combined.
  • Step Four: Microwave on high for 60 seconds. Add 10-15 seconds if wet spots are dime sized or larger.
  • Step Five (optional): Top with pure maple syrup, nut butter, fresh fruit, etc.
  • Step Six: Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

(makes 1 serving)

 Total time: 6 mins 

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup Kodiak Cakes Dark Chocolate Power Cakes
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp. oil

Directions:

  1. Stir the Kodiak Cakes mix and sugar together in a mug until combined.
  2. Add the milk, chocolate chips, and oil. Mix well.
  3. Microwave on high for 60-80 seconds.
