Ingredients

  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 Kodiak Gluten-Free Frontier Oat Power Waffles, toasted

Directions

  1. Place the onion and olive oil in a skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. While the onion is cooking, place the turkey, egg, rosemary, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix together until well combined.
  3. Form the turkey mixture into four patties.
  4. Add olive oil to a skillet and cook the patties until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. Place each patty in between two toasted waffles along with a spoonful of the caramelized onion. 
  6. Add any other desired toppings, such as cheese, avocado, lettuce, etc.
