Put the "fun" back in breakfast with this Waffle Cut-Outs recipe. Your cubs will love using cookie cutters to create their very own breakfast bears and flowers using our toaster-ready Power Waffles and fresh fruit. When your kids have finished creating their breakfast masterpiece, don't forget to snap a picture for the memory before indulging in the great taste of whole grains that make up these Waffle Cut-Outs. Best served with our Kodiak Cakes Fruit Syrups.

Ingredients

Bear Ingredients:

  • 4 Kodiak Cakes Frozen Waffles
  • 5 chocolate chips
  • 12 mini chocolate chips
  • 2 blueberries
  • 1 strawberry, sliced
  • 2 banana slices

Flower Ingredients:

  • 1 Kodiak Cakes Frozen Waffle
  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. mini chocolate chips

Directions

Bear Shape:
  1. Use a 1” round cookie cutter to cut 3 circles out of the waffles.
  2. Use a 1.5” round cookie cutter to cut 4 circles out of the waffles.
  3. Place two full-sized waffles next to each other to make the body of the bear.
  4. Arrange the three 1” round waffles to make the ears and snout of the bear, a chocolate chip to create the nose, and strawberry slices for the ears.
  5. Use 2 banana slices and 2 blueberries to make the eyes.
  6. Use the four 1.5” cut-outs to form the bear feet.
  7. Place chocolate chips on feet to make the paw details.
  Flower Shapes:
  1. Use a 1” round cookie cutter to cut out 3 waffle circles.
  2. Use a mixture of banana slices, strawberry triangles, and blueberries to create flower petals around the waffle circles.
  3. Use blueberries or chocolate chips to decorate the center of the flowers.
