Fall in Park City, Utah is one of our favorite times of year at Kodiak Cakes for a number of reasons: the temperatures outside are cooler; the colors of the leaves have turned from green to all sorts of reds, yellows, and oranges; and the aromas of pumpkin, apple, caramel, cinnamon, and everything else fall fills our office because, as you can imagine, our Kodiak Kitchen is always hard at work. This year, we’ve crafted five fall recipes using Kodiak Cakes oatmeal products to bring the taste of “Oat”ober to your kitchen, too.


Pears and cardamom is a popular combination that we’re using with Kodiak Cakes Cinnamon Oatmeal to make this Cardamom & Pear Oatmeal recipe. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients together as directed and heat it up in the microwave for approximately 30-45 seconds for an oh-so-sweet breakfast in under a minute—it’s just that simple! This recipe also tastes great cold when mixed together for a jar of overnight oats. If you choose to make this recipe overnight, we suggest doubling the amount of liquid.


Fall wouldn’t be complete without the taste of caramel—are we right? Or are we right? Inspired by festive recipes like caramel apples, homemade salted caramel candies, and caramel popcorn, we’re bringing the fall carnival to your kitchen with this recipe for Caramel Roasted Pecan Oatmeal. While this dish may seem like a sweet indulgence, we’re using 100% whole grain oats and packing in the protein with Kodiak Cakes Caramel Oatmeal. To add some crunch to your oatmeal, this recipe calls for homemade roasted pecans, caramelized in maple syrup and salt, over the stovetop.


Butternut squash not only adds the perfect touch to your fall décor, it also makes for a delicious topping in recipes like this Savory Bacon & Butternut Squash Oatmeal. In this dish, we’re contrasting the sweet taste of Kodiak Cakes Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal with the savory taste of bacon and roasted butternut squash. You can usually find a pack of diced butternut squash at your local grocery store, but we suggest roasting your own. All you have to do is dice your squash into cubes, season to your liking (e.g. olive oil, salt, and pepper), and roast on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 400 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes. Toss it on your oatmeal cup with some chopped bacon for a savory oatmeal breakfast that will keep you full all morning!


A warm bowl of oatmeal in the morning is hard to beat, just ask Goldilocks and the Three BearsBut have you ever tried baked oatmeal? Our Chocolate Raspberry Baked Oatmeal recipe mixes together the sweet taste of raspberries and chocolate to make a perfect oatmeal bake using Kodiak Cakes Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Packets. Just stir all ingredients together in a small baking dish until well-combined before folding in 1/3 cup raspberries. Pop the dish into the oven for a short 15-20 minutes and you’ll find that the golden crisp adds the perfect crunch to this tasty breakfast treat. Try mixing things up by swapping raspberries for blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, or, better yet, mix all these berries together for a mixed berries and chocolate oatmeal bake that is “juuuuuuust right!”


Calling all apple lovers! We’ve paired up Kodiak Cakes Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal Packets with a batch of apples to make an Apple Crisp recipe you don’t want to pass up. This warm treat is a great dessert to bring to your next fall dinner party or whip up on a cool fall night when you need something sweet to eat while sitting by the fire. Apples and cinnamon are a popular fall duo that go perfectly with the maple brown sugar taste of Kodiak Cakes oatmeal. Add a little butter to the mix and just the smell of this crisp will have you asking for seconds before it even comes out of the oven. We suggest completing your dessert by topping a scoop of warm Apple Crisp with a spoonful of cold vanilla ice-cream!
