Before you make these oven-baked shrimp, you'll want to light a few candles and turn on the Bing Crosby because this is the perfect main dish for a romantic holiday meal. This healthier version of a seafood favorite is not greasy and makes a crispy, crunchy, delicious dish that we suggest serving with your favorite cocktail sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. peeled shrimp, deveined tail intact
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk Power Cakes Flapjack and Waffle mix
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400° F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil onto the parchment paper
- Crack the egg into a medium bowl. Whisk and set aside
- In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk Power Cakes mix, garlic powder, paprika, and salt together until combined
- Dip the shrimp into the egg and then into the breadcrumb mixture. Place the breaded shrimp on the pan and repeat for remaining shrimp
- Drizzle olive oil over the shrimp
- Bake for 5 minutes. Flip the shrimp and bake an additional 5 minutes or until crispy and golden. Serve with cocktail sauce
